Affordable Housing is a topic which suffers from too much talk and not enough action. For example we have a professionally developed inclusionary zoning policy just sitting waiting for the council to adopt it. Here are 6 comments / Suggestions that I sent do the DMC EDA and Board pertaining to how DMC can have a positive impact on the affordability of housing in the district and beyond.
In particular the lack of meaningful published data tends to hide the fact that so far there has been far more talk than action. Just meaningful tracking the issue over time would represent progress.
