  1. Frankly I do not understand the motivation of the city council. Some things have a funny smell to an outside observer.
    Real Estate development is all about making money – big money. Who can modify zoning, bend rules – gets a license to print money in unfair competition to individual residents.
    Now, if I want to build something on my land and want to have the same benefits and bend the rules the same way – can I do this, please?
    What is the reason behind it? Are city council members getting any direct or indirect benefits from an old buddy network?
